Rides are back!
In October 2007, consonni and the artist Saioa Olmo reopened the Amusement Park of Bizkaia through guided tours to discover the new attractions the space provided. This book documents that visits with hundreds of photographs of visitors who participated in the project and also includes the script of the guides and other supplementary texts.
The texts written by the philosopher Luis Navarro, Ruben Lorenzo and Pablo Rey from Basurama, and Tomás Ruiz, head of the blog "Y me quedé esperando al tren," contextualize the project within concepts such as amusement parks as the highest expression of a new model of financial capitalism, the naturalization of abandoned infrastructure as part of the cityscape or urban exploration as a somewhat playful to return the town to the public. Besides the text of the artist herself Saioa Olmo, place the project on time and space deep into the origin of the attractions are back, why and how it arose.
