The writer María Bastarós together with harriet c. brown introduce us to lumbung cosmologies through interviews and readings around the lumbung stories book. In this episode you can listen to the conversation between María Bastarós and the author Panashe Chigumadzi and the reading by the latter of the first 300 words of her story in its original language. Panashe Chigumadzi is an essayist and novelist. Chigumadzi is the author of These Bones Will Rise Again (2018), which was shortlisted for the 2019 Alan Paton Prize for Non-fiction. Her debut novel, Sweet Medicine, won the 2016 K. Sello Duiker Literary Award. Chigumadzi was the founding editor of Vanguard Magazine, a platform designed to give space to young black South AFRICAN women interested in how queer identities, pan-Africanism and Black Consciousness intersect. Chigumadzi draws on the history of Zimbabwe in her work, by exploring national and personal histories and identities.

harriet c. brown [ed.]
Harriet Brown fue el nombre que la actriz sueca Greta Garbo eligió para abandonar el mundo del cine y recluirse en su apartamento de Nueva York en los años cuarenta del pasado siglo. Además, Harriet Brown ha dado nombre a activistas por los derechos de las mujeres y activistas antirracistas y también a muchas otras activadoras de comienzos a las que rendimos homenaje. documenta fifteen, ruangrupa y consonni se escriben en minúsculas, así es con harriet c. brown. Usamos este seudónimo como una entidad colectiva formada por la diversidad de cuerpos de consonni y de la parte implicada del equipo artístico de documenta fifteen. Es un ser-en-común, un ser literario. harriet c. brown es un cuerpo lumbung que rescatamos ahora como práctica de comunidad para fabricar presente y convertirlo en un cuerpo textual.
