Dando vueltas con la producción en busca de sus apellidos. Realizando el proyecto Pájaro y Ornitólogo al mismo tiempo, en torno a la propia práctica de consonni que nos esta llevando a distintas residencias (Iaspis, Matadero, Hangar…)  y contextos (Madrid, Barcelona, Estocolmo, NYC..) donde vamos realizando entrevistas, encuentros, debates...

In New York City consonni was for two months (August and September) interviewing people about the concept of production in contemporary art within the “Bird and ornithologist” project, thanks to our collaborators in the city: the curator Alhena Katsof and the artist Itziar Barrio.

Founded in New York in 2011, for its inaugural pop-up exhibition in Montreal, Galerie Thomas Henry Ross art contemporain presented the works of three artists and a collective that provoke reflection on the role that context plays in the production of contemporary art.

Entrevista realizada por Julia Morandeira como motivo de que María Mur Dean, directora de consonni, es invitada a coordinar y moderar una mesa redonda dentro del apartado de debate SCREEN FORUM Pro, titulado WHAT ABOUT PRODUCTION? que surge de la voluntad de Screen from Barcelona (LOOP FAIR) de abrir un espacio de reflexión profesional para examinar colectivamente preocupaciones y desafíos en relación a la producción de películas y vídeos de artistas que han sido identificados a distintos niveles.

consonni was interviewed by Julia Morandeira on the frame of María Mur Dean, the director of consonni, being invited to coordinate and chair a round table within the SCREEN FORUM Pro debate section, under the title WHAT ABOUT PRODUCTION? , which is the product of Screen from Barcelona (LOOP FAIR)’s interest in opening up a space for a professional and collective exploration and examination of concerns and challenges to be faced vis-à-vis the production of films and videos by artists who have been identified at different levels.
