PRESENTACIÓN PÚBLICA DE ENPAP -European Network for Public Art Producers (red europea de productoras de arte público)

European Network for Public Art Producers (ENPAP) es una iniciativa de seis organizaciones europeas de arte que focalizan su producción e investigación artística en el campo de la producción de arte público:

La ENPAP comienza en mayo del 2010 con un proceso de investigación que mira hacía el contexto donde las diferentes organizaciones operan, sus objetivos y métodos de producción y las condiciones específicas que afectan a sus propias prácticas. Del 8 al 11 de noviembre, estas seis organizaciones visitan Bilbao. Se trata de conocer de primera mano el trabajo y modo de producción principalmente de consonni pero también de otras organizaciones y agentes del contexto vasco (artistas, curators, instituciones...) con el fin de estar al corriente de la complejidad de distintas prácticas artísticas existentes así como las distintas políticas culturales que lo afectan. Del 22 al 23 de marzo del 2012 la ENPAP realizará un simposium que se llevará a cabo en la CAV (Comunidad Autónoma Vasca) como colofón de la colaboración conjunta.
Previo al simposium, este viernes 11 de noviembre se hará una presentación pública en BizBAK (paraninfo de EHU/UPV, Bilbao), en donde se presentarán las organizaciones implicadas y los intereses compartidos en la creación de la red en torno a la producción de arte público.

PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF ENPAP – Initiative to Create a European Network of Public Art Producers

The initiative to create a European Network of Public Art Producers (ENPAP) is an initiative launched by six art organisations that make artistic investigation within the field of public art production:

The ENPAP initiative kicked off in May 2010 with a research phase looking at the contexts in which the different organisations operate, their aims and methods of production and the specific conditions that are affecting their practice. From 8 to 11 November, these six organisations will be visiting Bilbao. The idea is principally to get first-hand knowledge of consonni’s work and mode of production, but this also extends to other organisations and agents in the Basque context (artists, curators, institutions...), in order to be au fait with the various existing artistic practices and the different cultural policies that affect them. 22-23 March 2012 the ENPAP initiative will organize a symposium in the Autonomous Basque Community (CAV).
Before the symposium, this Friday, 11th November, we will make the first public presentation in Bilbao to introduce the participant organisations and their interests in the creation of the network. Please join us for the talk! After we will be serving a meal which we also wish to share with you.
The ENPAP initiative is funded by the Cultural Programme of the European Union, the Foundation for the Culture of the Future, the Basque Government, the Regional Council of Bizkaia and the Spanish Ministry of Culture, Stockholm Arts Council, the Swedish Arts Council and the Romanian Cultural Institute of Stockholm.
